The company which installed my solar panels went out of business. True Solar (True Energy Systems) came out and tested to see why it wasn't providing electricity or connecting to the app on my phone. They quickly found the problem and ordered the part necessary to fix it. I was on the schedule for their earliest possible date and they communicated with me the whole time. The repair was completed and everything works perfectly again. Highly recommend this company!

Was very helpful and timely

This was our first experience with True Energy and it was great. After a hail storm we needed new shingles. True Energy removed our solar panels and stored them in our garage. After the new shingles were placed, they were back to get us up and collecting solar power again. All systems are working efficiently after the reinstallation. We will definitely use them again.

True Energy sent a technician for furnace inspection, and he caught an issue with it (flame sensors I believe) that could've left me in the cold this winter. Thankfully they caught it and fixed it right away!

I’ve wanted to go solar for quite a while now, so when we finally decided to do it, we were looking for a reputable company, preferably local, who would help us get just what we needed without trying to upsell our every decision. When we signed the contract with True Solar, I knew we’d found just the right place. From the initial sales call (which was so informative and no pressure) to the final installation, True Solar kept us informed, managed our expectations, and helped us change our plan when our needs changed. There was a minor hiccup with one of the micro inverters after installation, and they took care of everything with expedience. They responded promptly to emails and questions, and educated us about how our array works. They managed everything with our utility company and made the whole process feel so easy for us. We also appreciated that we were working with a company based here in Iowa that employed Iowans. I highly recommend True Solar!

Great communication from project staff. Installation crew did an excellent job, clean install. System is running with no issues. I would recommend True Energy to anyone for a solar system design and the install, as a matter of fact I already have to some friends and neighbors.

We installed a solar array in 2019 but the inverter failed in May 2026. The company that installed our array is no longer in business and after contacting multiple other companies, without results, we found True Energy. John Lentz did the initial work remotely and soon we had a technician on site who confirmed our inverter had failed. He made phone calls and a new inverter was shipped. Another technician made the trip with our replacement inverter and installed it in one afternoon. We are back producing energy thanks to True Energy. It was extremely frustrating to speak with other companies that did nothing, but after finding True Energy they worked diligently to repair our array. Thank you to the many knowledgeable people at True Energy.

True Energy was great to work with! My solar project was completed quickly and efficiently.

True Energy serviced my furnace for the coming winter, and glad they did. Found an issue that they were able to quickly resolve, otherwise my furnace probably would've gone out. Thankful!

Excellent experience from sales through installation. Recommend.

After my original solar company went bankrupt. I switched my monitoring company to True Energy. They were extremely helpful in getting everything switched over and transferred to them. This last April I had hail damage to my roof and to put it nicely fighting with insurance and figuring everything out has been a nightmare but True Energy has been so helpful and prompt when connecting with me. Insurance didn't cover anything and True Energy helped by giving me extra time to pay them. I worked with Emmy specifically and I can't thank her enough for all the help and understanding that has been afforded to me through all of this.

We had solar installed on the house in July and couldn’t be happier with the process. The staff at True Energy were extremely knowledgeable and kept us informed every step of the way. They sold me a $25k system a with batteries it cost me more per month than just paying for electric from utilitie company

True Solar did an excellent job getting our solar system back into operation and communicating with the app. Our original installer went out of business and we were left without a functioning system.

Recently became a client/customer of True Solar from previously being a part of the bankrupt solar company Purelight Power who did my set up/onboarding/installation a couple of years ago. We thought we had a roof leak tied to our solar and (luckily) found True Solar and could not be happier to have found this company. They treated our issue with urgency and got someone out within a few days - their tech (Grant) was extremely nice and more importantly - extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented and explained our set up to me in a way I clearly understood. Unfortunately for us, our issue in the end did not tie to our solar but was an HVAC issue but going forward, I feel very supported to be in the True Solar family - they are doing monitoring on my system for free which is amazing but more importantly, I know they will be there for us should any actual issues with our system happen. I could not recommend them more!

Seamless! From start to finish! Great staff for our plan, panel install and electrical hookup. Brandi was fantastic at keeping us abreast of everything taking place and when to expect the crew(s) and or inspectors. The CornBelt inspection was completed, the utility inspector provided glowing reviews for True Solar and indicated to us that True Solar had everything completed exactly as they had initially submitted for approval. CornBelt told us that with some solar companies they have to reschedule and come back one or more times for final approval/connection as the completed system is nothing like what had been initially submitted (adding that it is typically due to other carriers subcontracting the work out). Thank you True Solar!! We are very happy with our system!

True Solar has been amazing since taking over our system and really appreciate all their help. Emmy has been able to provide exceptional customer service and appreciate the technicians who have come out. We don't know what we would have done without them since the prior solar company that installed our system went out of business. They have truly been exceptional to work with.
